Dhaka, Bangladesh, July 2024 – Md. Ashiful Alam has joined pladis Global as the new Head of Human Resources. With extensive experience in human resources management and a proven track record in leading HR functions, Ashiful will drive HR strategies and initiatives to support the company’s growth and development.
Md. Ashiful Alam has started his role as the Head of Human Resources at pladis Global. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, he will oversee HR operations, develop and implement HR strategies, and ensure alignment with the company’s business objectives.
Previously, Ashiful served as the Head of Human Resources (DGM) at DBL Group. In this role, he was responsible for developing and executing HR strategies, leading talent acquisition efforts, fostering a positive organizational culture, overseeing performance management systems, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Before his tenure at DBL Group, Ashiful worked at H&M as a Talent Manager. He developed and implemented comprehensive talent acquisition strategies, drove succession planning and career development initiatives, and ensured employee engagement and retention.
Ashiful also served as the Regional Reward and Mobility Manager (South Asia and Africa) at H&M. He was responsible for designing and implementing compensation, benefits, and recognition strategies to attract and retain top talent. He also provided training and support for HR Business Partners and business heads.
Prior to H&M, Ashiful was the Head of HR Shared Services and Remuneration Manager at Banglalink. He oversaw HR services across the organization and implemented a comprehensive remuneration program to attract and retain top talent.
Ashiful’s career began at LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited, where he served in various roles, including Senior Executive – Compensation & Benefit and HR System, and Employee Relations Lead – Plant. He was responsible for implementing compensation strategies, conducting salary benchmarking, designing incentive programs, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
