Canada, August 2026 — Solmax has appointed Olivia Schmidt as President, Americas. Schmidt brings more than two decades of international commercial and business leadership experience, with a track record of leading global teams, managing complex businesses, driving commercial transformation, and delivering disciplined growth across industrial markets.
Schmidt joins Solmax from Precision Valve Corporation, where she served as Chief Commercial Officer from September 2023 to August 2026. In this role, she contributed her commercial leadership experience to the organization’s growth agenda. Before Precision Valve, she was Chief Commercial Officer at Kymera International, serving from June 2021 to January 2023.
Earlier, Schmidt spent more than 17 years with BASF, progressing through senior business, marketing, and commercial leadership positions. Most recently at BASF, she served as Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing – Mobile Emissions Catalysts, with responsibility spanning global marketing, product and program management, pricing, innovation, raw-material sourcing, and coordination of global key account management. She also led commercial and cultural transformation initiatives designed to strengthen commercial excellence across the organization.
Her other leadership roles at BASF included Global Business Director, Adsorbent Catalysts, where she held global P&L responsibility and led business strategy, development, and planning; Director, Product & Strategic Management – Pigments; Marketing Manager – Performance Chemicals, Pigments & Additives; and Business Development Manager – Pharmaceutical Ingredients & Contract Manufacturing. Across these assignments, Schmidt developed extensive experience in P&L management, business development, strategic marketing, pricing, product management, innovation, and global commercial operations.
Alongside her executive career, Schmidt has served as a Board Member of Société de Chimie Industrielle since 2014. In her new position as President, Americas at Solmax, she will bring her global commercial leadership and strategic growth experience to the company as it continues to strengthen its business across the Americas and advance its position in sustainable construction solutions for civil and environmental infrastructure.
