Gurugram, Haryana, India, August 2026 — Indus Towers Limited has appointed Abhishek Maheshwari as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With over two decades of experience, Maheshwari brings extensive expertise across finance, business planning, strategy, financial reporting, taxation, investor relations, cost management, and corporate governance.
Maheshwari joins Indus Towers following an extensive career with Bharti Airtel, where he most recently served as CFO – B2B Business of Airtel. In this role, he provided financial leadership to Airtel’s enterprise business. He also served as Controller, leading the finance vertical for the company’s operations across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, covering mobile, telemedia, and DTH businesses.
Previously, Maheshwari served as CFO for Airtel Direct to Home Business from September 2017 to September 2021. His broader career at Airtel included several finance leadership positions spanning business planning and analysis, decision support, consolidation, taxation, management reporting, profitability analysis, and investor relations. His roles included Deputy General Manager, where he led Business Planning & Analysis for Hyderabad and MPCG, as well as multiple Senior Manager and Manager assignments.
Before Airtel, Maheshwari worked with Maruti Udyog Limited as Deputy Manager, focusing on budgeting, cost reporting, profit and cost centre budgeting, and management reporting. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Article at Lodha & Company, Mumbai, where he gained audit experience across assignments involving organizations from sectors including media, steel, consumer businesses, and engineering.
Across his career, Maheshwari has built a broad combination of financial and commercial leadership experience spanning telecommunications, DTH, automotive, and professional services. As Chief Financial Officer of Indus Towers, his financial expertise and strategic perspective will support the company as it continues strengthening its focus on resilience, responsible growth, corporate governance, and long-term value creation.
