In her new role, she will oversee the agency’s human resources strategies, talent management, and workforce initiatives, ensuring alignment with SBA’s mission to support small businesses and entrepreneurs across the country.
Gibson joins SBA from Guidehouse, where she served as Senior Consultant, Strategic Communications & Change Management for two years. In this capacity, she played a crucial role in developing branding, identity, and strategic communication initiatives. Before this, she was a Project Director at Cogent Analytics, where she advised small to medium-sized businesses on business improvement strategies and operational enhancements.

Earlier in her career, Gibson held a leadership position at the U.S. Small Business Administration, serving as Senior Advisor in the Office of the Administrator. During this tenure, she led strategic initiatives for disaster assistance communications, rebranding efforts, and high-impact outreach campaigns, including marketing the SBA’s Ascent platform in collaboration with the White House, the Department of Labor, and the Treasury Department. She has also been an independent consultant, working with national and global organizations to drive revenue growth, enhance operational efficiency, and implement strategic communications.
