Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has appointed Dr. Vivek Mittal as Executive Director – Legal and Corporate Affairs, where he will lead corporate governance, compliance, and legal strategy for the company. He succeeds Dev Bajpai, who has played a pivotal role in shaping HUL’s legal and corporate affairs. With over two decades of experience in corporate law, Dr. Mittal’s expertise will be instrumental in strengthening HUL’s legal framework and strategic compliance.
Before joining HUL, Dr. Mittal served as Global General Counsel at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he led legal, compliance, and regulatory functions for the global pharmaceutical company. Prior to that, he held senior legal positions at Danaher Corporation, Lupin, Reliance Retail, and Radico Khaitan Limited, overseeing M&A, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property protection.
Dr. Vivek Mittal holds a PhD from Chaudhary Charan Singh University and is a qualified Company Secretary from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. His legal acumen and deep understanding of corporate governance and regulatory affairs will play a significant role in enhancing HUL’s legal strategies, ensuring the company’s continued growth and compliance excellence.
