Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2026 — Baroda BNP Paribas Mutual Fund has announced the appointment of Madhu Nair as Chief Executive Officer of Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management. A financial services veteran with over 28 years of experience, Nair brings extensive expertise across asset management, sales and distribution, institutional business, strategic leadership and investor-focused business growth.
Prior to this appointment, Nair served as Chief Executive Officer of Union Mutual Fund, a position he took up in March 2024. His move to Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management follows a career spanning several prominent institutions in India’s asset management and financial services industry. His experience encompasses business building, distribution strategy, institutional and retail sales, customer engagement and strategic initiatives.
Before joining Union Mutual Fund, Nair spent seven years with HSBC Global Asset Management (India) as Chief Sales & Distribution Officer. Earlier, he had an eight-year-plus tenure with Invesco Asset Management Company, where he held senior leadership responsibilities including Director & Head – Retail Sales and Director & National Sales Head – Institutional & Offshore Business. These assignments gave him leadership exposure across multiple investor segments and distribution channels.
Nair previously spent more than six years with Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company as Vice President – Sales & Distribution. Earlier in his career, he worked in institutional sales with Kothari Pioneer Mutual Fund, served as a Private Banker at HDFC Bank, and gained investment banking experience at KJMC Capital Markets. His career trajectory reflects extensive exposure to both asset management and broader financial services businesses.
In his new role, Nair’s experience in building and scaling businesses, strategic leadership and investor-centric growth will support Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management as it enters its next phase of development.
