Neal Jones to Become President, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) at Marriott International

London, United Kingdom, January 2026 – Neal Jones will assume the role of President, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) at Marriott International, effective March 28. In this expanded leadership role, Neal Jones will oversee one of the company’s most diverse and strategically significant regions, working closely with associates, owners, franchisees, and partners to build on strong brand momentum and drive sustainable growth across EMEA.

Commenting on the transition, Neal Jones emphasized that his initial focus will be on listening and learning across markets, engaging closely with teams to recognize what is working well and identifying opportunities to go further together. He also acknowledged Satya Anand, congratulating him on his promotion to Group President, U.S., Canada & CALA, and crediting his leadership and mentorship as instrumental in shaping the EMEA organization and his own leadership journey. Neal Jones will work closely with Satya Anand and the EMEA leadership team over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth and effective transition.

Neal Jones currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Marriott International, a role he has held for over a year, based in London. In this capacity, he has played a key role in strengthening operational excellence and supporting the company’s regional and global growth priorities.

Prior to this, he spent nearly five years as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer – Europe, Middle East & Africa, where he provided strategic leadership across brand management, marketing, digital, sales, revenue management, loyalty, communications, and consumer insights. As a member of the Continent Senior Executive Leadership Team, he was deeply involved in shaping growth strategies and positioning Marriott’s portfolio of brands at the forefront of the hospitality landscape across EMEA, a region encompassing more than 850 hotels across 70+ countries.

Earlier in his career, Neal Jones served as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for the Middle East and Africa, based in Dubai, where he led sales, marketing, eCommerce, and consumer services across a rapidly expanding portfolio. During this period, he played a pivotal role in integrating Starwood Hotels & Resorts into the Marriott system following the acquisition, driving synergies and building a robust, unified sales and marketing organization.

Neal Jones joined Marriott International in the mid-1990s and has spent over three decades with the company, including roles as Vice President, Global Sales and numerous earlier sales and marketing leadership positions across properties and regions worldwide. He is an alumnus of Hotelschool The Hague, where he studied Business Administration and Management, laying the foundation for a global hospitality leadership career.
