Bozeman, Montana, United States, May 2025 – Michelle Fournier Johnson has stepped into the role of Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer at Bozeman Health, an integrated nonprofit healthcare system serving eleven counties in Southwest Montana. In her new position, she oversees Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Clinical Education, Professional Development, and Employee Health for the organization, bringing with her a track record of transformational HR leadership in large-scale healthcare systems.
Michelle brings more than two decades of experience across regional and national healthcare institutions, including a notable seven-year tenure at Denver Health as Chief Human Resources Officer, where she led the modernization of the HR function. Her strategic leadership saw the successful implementation of an $8.7M Workday system, a new career architecture framework, and improved employee engagement and talent retention initiatives.
Prior to that, she served as Group Vice President of Human Resources at Centura Health, where she helped integrate new hospitals, reduced first-year turnover, and led succession planning. Earlier, she held key leadership roles at Fresenius Medical Care, AutoNation, Molson Coors, and PepsiCo, building HR infrastructure, streamlining processes, and driving large-scale organizational change.
Her deep expertise spans talent management, workforce planning, DEIB strategy, employee engagement, and executive coaching, making her uniquely equipped to lead Bozeman Health’s people and culture transformation.
