Aimargues, Occitanie, France, June 2025 – Paola Perez-Loaiza has joined Royal Canin, a division of Mars Petcare, as Vice President People & Organization Europe and Global Talent and Organizational Effectiveness. In this new role, Paola will lead the strategic people agenda across Europe and globally drive talent development, cultural transformation, and organizational effectiveness initiatives aligned with Royal Canin’s mission to improve pet health through nutrition.
With over two decades of international HR and leadership experience, Paola brings deep expertise in global talent management, business integration, and strategic people transformation in the pet care and consumer goods sectors.
Paola most recently served for over four years as Vice President Human Resources / CHRO at VCA Animal Hospitals, based in Santa Monica, California. There, she led enterprise-wide HR transformation efforts, talent and culture programs, and advanced inclusion strategies across the veterinary care network under the Mars Veterinary Health portfolio.
Prior to that, she was with Mars Veterinary Health as Vice President Human Resources, where she was instrumental in aligning business strategy with people priorities across geographies. She also spent over five years at Mars, where she held global HR leadership roles, including Global HR Head for Supply, Procurement & Transformation, and HR Director for Sales, Marketing, eCommerce and Talent Management.
Earlier in her career, Paola played a key role in the integration of P&G’s pet care business into Mars, serving as HR Director for NA Petcare. Before Mars, she had an extensive 17-year career at Procter & Gamble, where she held numerous roles across HR, purchasing, outsourcing, and supply chain functions across North America, Latin America, and Europe, including Venezuela, Switzerland, and the United States.
