Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina, June 2025 – Alexia Quesada has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer at Ualá, a fast-growing fintech company serving over 9 million users across Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia. In her new role, Alexia will lead the company’s people strategy, focusing on scaling talent, building organizational capability, and aligning HR innovation with Ualá’s broader regional expansion goals.
Prior to this, Alexia served as Senior Vice President of People at Thirdera, where she held a dual mandate as regional people lead for Latin America and global leader for talent development and organizational effectiveness. Over nearly four years, she successfully led the integration of four acquired companies, maintained turnover under 15%, deployed a 30% YoY headcount growth strategy, and spearheaded initiatives such as a technical university and leadership development programs across global operations. Her role spanned matrix leadership, M&A alignment, and direct engagement with the board of investors.
Before her tenure at Thirdera, Alexia played a pivotal role as Vice President of Human Resources at Novo/Scale, where she partnered closely with the CEO and investors through the company’s growth journey. Over a span of nearly eight years, she opened new markets in Argentina, Panama, and Mexico, cut attrition from 18% to 9%, anchored performance reviews to business KPIs, and led the design of a corporate university to drive workforce upskilling.
Earlier, Alexia spent over three years at Thomson Reuters, where she was Global Director of Talent & Development and later acted as VP of Talent & Development. She drove executive talent reviews, launched global frameworks to scale leadership development, and improved talent review coverage by 300%. Her strategic leadership helped align talent processes with business KPIs and supported global readiness and capability building.
Alexia’s earlier career includes nearly four years at Globant, where she was recognized as a two-time MVP awardee. As Leadership Development Manager and previously as Career & Talent Development Leader, she led workforce planning, deployed succession strategies, and significantly lowered attrition among management. She also held HR leadership roles at Belise Group, Direcciona RH, and served as an HR Consultant and Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. With over 20 years of HR experience, Alexia brings an exceptional mix of strategic insight and operational excellence to her new role.
