New York, United States, June 2025 — Melisa Cook has joined Roth&Co as Chief People Officer, bringing with her more than two decades of experience in human capital strategy, organizational culture, and leadership development.
Prior to this appointment, Cook served as Human Resources Director and Southeast Market People Leader at PwC, where she led the execution of national human capital and inclusion strategies impacting over 4,500 employees across the Southeast. Over her 15-year tenure at PwC, she held several influential roles including Director of Market HR, Market Inclusion Leader, and HR Manager, cementing her reputation as a transformative HR leader.
Before her impactful run at PwC, Cook held the position of Chief People Officer at Bennett Thrasher, where she served from 2021 to 2025. There, she directed the firm’s people operations with a strong emphasis on change management and executive coaching. Her earlier career included key HR and employee relations roles at the United Way of Greater Atlanta, reflecting her enduring commitment to organizational wellbeing and inclusive workforce development.
Cook holds a degree in Communication, along with certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Her involvement with organizations such as SHRM, NABA, Ascend, and ALPFA underscores her deep engagement with the broader HR and DEI community.
