Denver, Colorado, United States, July 2025 – Karen DiFulgo has joined Peregrine Hospitality as Chief People Officer, bringing with her over two decades of HR leadership experience across the global hospitality, travel, and services industries. In her new role, she will lead people strategy, organizational design, talent development, and culture transformation for Peregrine’s expansive portfolio of hospitality properties in 28 global markets.
Prior to joining Peregrine Hospitality, Karen served as Chief People Officer at Hornblower Group for two years, where she led the global People & Talent function supporting over 10,000 employees across the U.S., Canada, Europe, India, and Australia. She played a key role in preparing the company for equity transition and successfully guided the organization through merger and integration phases under private equity ownership.
Before that, she was Chief People Officer at Benchmark Hospitality for a decade, where she spearheaded HR strategy for 85+ properties across the U.S., Caribbean, and the U.K., supporting 10,000+ employees and leading a 90+ member HR team. Her tenure was marked by significant contributions to the company’s growth, talent alignment, and a high-impact 18-month merger and sale to TZP Group.
Earlier in her career, Karen held senior HR leadership roles with Gaylord Hotels as Vice President of HR, overseeing operations for a large union resort; Brickman as Senior Director of HR, managing HR strategy across 170 branches; and TNS Healthcare as Global Vice President of HR, where she drove global people strategies in the healthcare market research domain.
