Vilankar has been elevated to the role of Chief Operating Officer at Schindler India, marking a significant leadership transition within the organization. With over two decades of dedicated service to Schindler India, Shailesh brings a rare combination of operational excellence, people leadership, and strategic foresight to his new role.
In his most recent assignment, Shailesh served as Senior Vice President – Field Operations, where he led critical aspects of Schindler’s business with a sharp focus on efficiency, customer satisfaction, and safety. Before that, he held the role of Senior Vice President – Human Resources, steering key initiatives in workforce transformation, organizational culture, and talent development across India operations.
Having joined Schindler India over 20 years ago, Shailesh has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth journey through a series of leadership roles spanning operations and human resources. His career began at Bharat Bijlee Ltd, where he held progressive roles including Senior HR Executive and Sales Manager, building foundational experience in people strategy and customer relations.
In his new capacity as Chief Operating Officer, Shailesh is expected to lead Schindler India’s business operations with renewed vigor, driving performance, innovation, and sustainable growth as the company continues to scale its impact in the vertical transportation industry.
