Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, July 2025 – Setu has appointed Ramkumar Thirumurthi as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this pivotal role, Ramkumar will be responsible for driving revenue growth, scaling customer partnerships, and strengthening the company’s go-to-market strategies as Setu continues to reshape India’s fintech architecture.
Ramkumar joins Setu after his stint at Razorpay, where he served as Business Head – Neo Banking & S2P. During his tenure of over a year, he led innovative solutions across API Payouts, bank account validation, and India-centric Source-to-Pay services, playing a key role in elevating Razorpay’s fintech offerings.
Before that, Ramkumar co-founded and served as COO at actyv.ai®, where he helped scale the organization across Singapore, India, and the Middle East. Over a period of more than two years, he led multiple functions including sales, operations, legal, and compliance. He was also instrumental in establishing key strategic partnerships and driving innovations such as actyvInsure and BNPL solutions, contributing to a $1B throughput in under a year.
Earlier, as Co-Founder and CEO, he successfully built an enterprise TechFin platform focusing on embedded B2B BNPL and insurance. He played a vital role in forging partnerships with financial institutions and servicing major enterprise clients such as Tata Motors, Britannia, Dabur, and Red Bull, while building tools like actyvGo and actyvScore to empower MSMEs.
Ramkumar’s earlier ventures include Pinnacle India, where he served as Founder & Managing Partner for over two decades, scaling financial services offerings across loans, leasing, and insurance, and partnering with institutions like Kotak, HDFC, and Tata AIG. His entrepreneurial journey also includes co-founding Aagey.com, focused on MSME finance, and founding Enterprise Marketing Solutions, which brought affordable tech to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India.
