Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, July 2025 – Lisa Smith has been promoted to the role of Vice President Human Resources at Omicelo, a private investment group focused on driving “SustainAbility” across healthcare, housing, finance, and environmental impact sectors. In this elevated position, Lisa leads the full spectrum of HR strategy and operations for Omicelo Investments and its portfolio companies, including Havenside Construction Group and Oakwell Operating Group.
Lisa joined Omicelo in early 2024 as Human Resources Manager, and within just over a year, she was promoted to Vice President HR—a reflection of her strong strategic alignment with the company’s mission and her proven ability to build people-centric HR frameworks across investment and portfolio landscapes.
Before joining Omicelo, Lisa spent 13 years at Tenova, where she served as Human Resources Manager at their Moon, Pennsylvania location. In this role, she provided comprehensive HR support across employee benefits, performance management, compliance, and succession planning. Her tenure saw the successful development of scalable HR strategies in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
Lisa previously worked as Human Resources Director at Focus On Renewal, a community-focused nonprofit organization, where she oversaw all aspects of HR including benefits design, job structuring, and legal compliance. Her earlier experience also includes recruiting leadership roles at Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, MRINetwork, and a decade-long tenure as Senior Benefits Analyst at Cigna Insurance Services, where she built her foundational expertise in employee benefits and human capital systems.
She holds a Master of Public Management (MPM) in Human Resources Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
