Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, August 2025 — CNTXT, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Cognite, has announced the appointment of Hathal Al-Bahli as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In his new role, Al-Bahli will be responsible for leading CNTXT’s human resources strategy, talent development, and organizational growth initiatives, supporting the company’s mission to drive digital transformation across the Middle East and North Africa.
Al-Bahli joins CNTXT after more than seven years at Saudi Aramco, where he most recently served as Human Resources Consultant from May 2018 to August 2025. In this capacity, he was involved in establishing new joint ventures and subsidiaries, contributing to strategic workforce planning and talent integration for emerging business entities.
Alongside his role at Saudi Aramco, Al-Bahli served as Human Resources Director at Mukamalah (Aloula Aviation) between June 2023 and December 2023. There, he led HR strategies to support the aviation company’s operations, ensuring alignment with both corporate objectives and regulatory frameworks.
Earlier, Al-Bahli spent over four years at ARO Drilling, first as HR Lead Projects Manager from May 2018 to February 2019, and later as HR Director from March 2019 to May 2022. During his tenure, he spearheaded HR transformation projects and established policies to strengthen organizational capabilities in the energy sector.
His career at Saudi Aramco began in January 2002, where he served for over 16 years in progressive HR leadership roles, including HR Supervisor and Personnel Advisor, managing large-scale workforce programs and advancing human capital strategies for the company’s industrial operations.
