Hyderabad, Telangana, India, September 2025 – Ramkumar Esakki has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer at PI Health Sciences Ltd. In this leadership role, he will be responsible for driving operational excellence, scaling manufacturing capabilities, and enhancing global partnerships to support the company’s integrated drug discovery and development solutions.
Before joining PI Health Sciences, Ramkumar served as Senior Vice President at Suven Pharmaceuticals for nearly two years, where he led strategic operations, site management, and growth initiatives. He was instrumental in strengthening the company’s manufacturing efficiency and aligning operational processes with global compliance standards.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President at Aragen Life Sciences, where he oversaw end-to-end operations, combining leadership in process development and delivery excellence. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in scaling operations to meet international demand.
Ramkumar also had a long and impactful stint at Eisai Pharmaceuticals India, where he served as Vice President and earlier as Associate Vice President, totaling more than five years. Based in Visakhapatnam, he led strategic site operations, process optimization, and compliance frameworks to ensure efficient large-scale manufacturing.
Earlier in his career, he was Vice President at Strides Shasun Limited, managing the Cuddalore multi-products facility. Prior to that, he served in multiple senior leadership roles at Kudos Chemie Limited for over seven years, where he rose to the position of Chief Operating Officer, overseeing complex site operations and business transformation projects.
Ramkumar began his professional journey with engineering and operational roles at Shasun Chemicals & Drugs Limited, Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he built a strong foundation in facilities planning, engineering, and large-scale pharmaceutical operations. His career progression reflects over two decades of experience in pharmaceutical operations, compliance, and site leadership.
