India, August 2025 – Aanandita Datta has been appointed as the Vice President – Marketing & Category Head at DIAGEO India, bringing with her nearly two decades of experience across FMCG, healthcare, and food retail sectors. In her new role, she will lead category marketing strategies, brand positioning, and innovation initiatives across DIAGEO India’s premium beverage portfolio.
Most recently, Aanandita served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Hut, India Subcontinent at Yum! Brands, where she spearheaded disruptive marketing campaigns, product innovations, and brand strategies that made the brand accessible to a wider and younger audience while expanding into new markets.
Before Yum! Brands, she spent almost a decade with Unilever in senior leadership roles. As Global Brand Director for Lipton based in Rotterdam, she managed a €1.3 billion portfolio, driving global brand equity, innovation roadmaps, and repositioning strategies aligned to the company’s 2025 growth vision. Earlier, as Head of Marketing – Brand Unilever India, she led corporate brand communication, Unilever’s sustainability initiatives, and partnerships with the UN and government agencies to build impactful, socially responsible campaigns.
Aanandita’s earlier career includes roles as Regional Marketing Manager for Refreshments in South Asia, where she led brand development for Lipton and Taaza, driving new category formats such as Green Tea in India and Pakistan. Prior to Unilever, she worked with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare as Senior Brand Manager for Sensodyne, leading the brand’s entry into India and building it into one of the fastest-growing global oral health brands. She began her marketing journey with Whirlpool Corporation as an Assistant Brand Manager in the food stream solutions category.
