Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2025 — Ranju Alex has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for South Asia at Accor, bringing with her over three decades of rich experience in the hospitality industry. She joins Accor from Marriott International, where she spent nearly 15 years in leadership roles including Regional Vice President – South Asia, Market Vice President – West India, and Market Vice President – South India.
Prior to her successful tenure at Marriott, Ranju honed her leadership skills at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, where she served in senior roles for 15 years, building a strong foundation in luxury hospitality management. Her career reflects a deep understanding of the evolving needs of both premium and mid-market segments, positioning her to lead Accor’s South Asia operations during a time of rapid transformation in the region’s travel and hospitality landscape.
In her new role at Accor, Ranju will focus on scaling the company’s presence across both budget and premium segments, capturing opportunities in India’s fast-growing middle-class market. She will spearhead initiatives to strengthen brand positioning, integrate hotel operations, and advance customer engagement. Strategic partnerships, such as Accor’s loyalty tie-up with IndiGo, are expected to be further leveraged under her leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences and sustained growth.
An alumna of the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, Ranju holds a postgraduate degree in Hospitality Administration and Management. With her combination of operational expertise, market insight, and strategic leadership, she is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Accor in South Asia.
