Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, September 2025 — Susan Isabelle Simons has started a new role as Global Head of People Solutions – Hire2Retire at SAP. In this position, she will lead efforts to deliver consistent, best-in-class employee experiences while championing the use of SAP’s own cloud HR solutions. As “customer zero,” her team will collaborate closely with product and engineering groups to provide real-world feedback that shapes SAP’s global HCM offerings.
Susan has been with SAP for nearly 25 years, advancing through multiple leadership roles at the intersection of HR technology, product management, and customer success. Most recently, she was responsible for SAP Product Experience, leading strategic implementations of SAP SuccessFactors HXM solutions and driving adoption among global customers.
Previously, she served as Global Head of Workforce IT Solutions, overseeing SAP’s own workforce management cloud implementations impacting more than 100,000 employees. Before that, she spent several years in Customer Solution Adoption, engaging directly with customers to introduce new SAP SuccessFactors products and features, particularly in recruitment and onboarding.
Earlier in her career, Susan held product management and leadership roles across HCM, talent management, and e-recruiting, including Senior Product Manager – HCM, Product Owner – Talent Management, and Product Manager – SAP E-Recruiting. She also worked as a Senior Consultant and Business Development Manager for HCM, supporting customer projects, implementations, and solution roll-outs.
Alongside her SAP career, she has contributed to academia as a University Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen, teaching ERP fundamentals, project management, and transformation methodologies.
