Building on his impactful tenure as Chief People Officer, Pete’s new role brings together people, culture, and retail operations — a combination that underscores Krispy Kreme’s commitment to delivering “magical moments” through both its people and its shops.
In announcing his new role, Pete shared, “My journey at Krispy Kreme continues — an amazing brand with amazing people. My role is evolving to Chief People and Shops Officer, meaning I get to spend even more time in our shops, with our retail team where it all happens.”
Pete has been part of Krispy Kreme UK & IRE for over two and a half years, where he has played a transformative role in building an engaging people culture and aligning HR strategy with business growth. As Chief People Officer, he led people initiatives focused on leadership development, organizational design, and employee engagement across more than 120 locations in the UK and Ireland.
Before joining Krispy Kreme, Pete spent nine years at Hovis Ltd, where he rose to the position of HR Director. During his tenure, he spearheaded strategic HR transformation, developed high-performance teams, and strengthened leadership capabilities across manufacturing and corporate divisions. His journey through various HR leadership roles at Hovis — including Head of HR – Support and HR Business Partner – Head Office — showcased his deep understanding of people operations within complex, large-scale organizations.
Earlier in his career, Pete served at Premier Foods, where he held multiple roles over five years, including Business Partner – Group HR Services and HR Systems Manager. His experience there helped him develop expertise in talent management and HR systems implementation. Pete began his professional career at RHM Ltd, where he spent over seven years managing HR and administrative operations.
