Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, November 2025 — MGM Resorts International has announced the appointment of Kristin Byrnes as Director of Talent Development, marking a key leadership move in strengthening the company’s global people strategy. With over 15 years of expertise spanning organizational effectiveness, training, and human resources across the hospitality and financial services sectors, Kristin brings a proven record of driving cultural transformation and leadership growth.
Kristin has been an integral part of MGM Resorts International for nearly five years, having most recently served as Director of Organization Effectiveness (Corporate). In this role, she led enterprise-wide strategic planning, stakeholder management, and performance improvement initiatives that elevated organizational agility and leadership alignment. Earlier, as Director of Organization Effectiveness – Hotel, she played a pivotal role in developing capability frameworks and driving hotel-wide engagement programs that strengthened service excellence across MGM’s iconic properties.
Before joining MGM Resorts, Kristin held the position of Training Specialist at PennyMac Loan Services, where she designed and delivered performance-driven learning interventions for the organization’s fast-paced financial operations. Her earlier leadership roles include Director of Training and Development at Aparium Hotel Group, where she led corporate learning strategies and employee engagement programs across multiple luxury hotel brands.
Kristin also spent over five years with The James Hotel, advancing from Front Desk Manager to Human Resources Manager, where she cultivated high-performing teams and implemented innovative HR practices. Prior to that, she worked with Affinia Hotels in progressive roles, gaining hands-on experience in hospitality operations and leadership development.
In her new role, Kristin will lead MGM Resorts International’s global talent development strategy, focusing on leadership capability building, employee engagement, and fostering a continuous learning culture to support the company’s growth and innovation objectives.
