Palo Alto, California, United States, December 2025 – Sonakshi Kansal has been appointed as Vice President of Investment Banking at Bank of America, marking a significant milestone in her career in global finance. In her new role, she will focus on the Semiconductors and Deep Tech sector, bringing sharp analytical insight and a strategic deal-making acumen to the bank’s technology and M&A verticals.
Prior to this promotion, Sonakshi Kansal served as Senior Associate, Investment Banking at Bank of America, where she worked closely on high-impact deals across the Technology and Semiconductor sectors. Her performance and leadership potential earned her this elevation within less than two years of joining the firm.
Before joining Bank of America, Sonakshi held the position of Investment Banking Associate at Guggenheim Partners in the Greater Chicago Area. During her tenure, she was actively involved in complex M&A transactions, deep financial modeling, and strategic advisory services for corporate clients across multiple industries.
Earlier, she served as Director of Corporate Development at Great Expressions Dental Centers, where she focused on business growth through M&A, partnership strategies, and internal strategic planning initiatives. Her cross-industry transition from healthcare to finance highlighted her adaptability and strong analytical skills.
Sonakshi holds an MBA in Finance from the prestigious Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and is also an alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s top business schools. Her academic foundation in finance and strategy has consistently underpinned her success across investment banking and corporate development roles.
