Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands, January 2026 – Paromita Roy has stepped into the role of Global Lead – HR Strategy, Culture & Digital, One HRM at Tata Steel, assuming a global leadership mandate to shape HR’s strategic agenda across geographies, strengthen a unified organisational culture, and accelerate digital HR transformation across all Tata Steel entities worldwide.
In her new role, Paromita will lead the design and execution of Tata Steel’s global people strategy, aligning talent, culture, and digital systems to support workforce readiness, enterprise transformation, and performance excellence across continents.
Paromita brings more than fifteen years of HR leadership experience within Tata Steel. Most recently, she served as Head – Leadership Talent Development, where she strengthened leadership pipelines, enterprise capability frameworks, and succession architecture across global businesses.
Earlier, she led the Total Rewards function, managing multi-country compensation governance, expatriate mobility frameworks, and international rewards benchmarking across more than seven countries, creating globally consistent HR systems that strengthened Tata Steel’s international workforce architecture.
She also served in HR Innovation Lab – Business Partnering roles, contributing to digital HR experimentation, data-led workforce solutions, and agile HR service design models. For nearly a decade prior, Paromita played a foundational role as Senior Manager – Total Rewards, building enterprise compensation strategy, expatriate lifecycle management systems, and global benefits governance frameworks.
Her professional journey began at Wipro Technologies, where she developed early exposure to enterprise systems and offshore delivery models that later strengthened her leadership in digital HR transformation.
Paromita holds an MBA in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi, and has completed an executive certification from Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business, strengthening her expertise in global HR strategy and digital transformation.
