Dr. Maheshwari joins from Siemens, where she served as Executive Vice President and Country Head for People and Organisation and Diversity Officer. With nearly three decades of HR leadership experience across manufacturing, automotive, energy, technology, and services, she will lead strategic people initiatives and reinforce Amara Raja’s values-driven, people-centric culture as the group expands into new businesses and geographies.

In her most recent role, Dr. Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari spent nearly seven years at Siemens India (Mumbai) as EVP & Country Head (People & Organisation) and Diversity Officer, overseeing HR across key legal entities and enabling the People & Organisation strategy across technology, energy, industrial, mobility, and financial services businesses. She worked with a 15,000-strong workforce across 22 factories and 54 offices, partnering the CEO and executive leadership while championing people strategy, culture, DEI, change management, learning, M&A support, industrial relations strategy, HR digitisation, and people analytics.

Prior to Siemens, she served for close to five years as Vice President & Head (Human Resources) at National Engineering Industries Ltd. (NBC Bearings), CK Birla Group in Jaipur. During her tenure, the organization earned recognitions including Great Place to Work certifications and multiple HR excellence awards. Her remit included corporate and plant HR across locations, culture transformation, talent development, business partnering, and people strategy to support scale-up and greenfield expansion.

Earlier, Dr. Maheshwari spent over a decade with Jindal Stainless Limited (O P Jindal Group) as General Manager – Corporate HR in New Delhi, focusing on enterprise-wide talent, learning & development, and OD processes for a large workforce. Her work included institutionalizing competency-based career progression systems, strengthening performance and potential evaluation practices, driving change initiatives, and building internal communication and employer branding mechanisms.

She began her career in HR and training across services and hospitality, including roles as Training Manager at Grand Hyatt, New Delhi, Manager HR at Goa Marriott Resort, and Manager (HR & TQ) at Gujarat Gas (Financial Services) Limited (BG Group), contributing to HR systems, talent development, engagement, and foundational people practices.
