United States, January 2026 — Twilio has announced the appointment of Shalini Stewart as Director, HR Business Partner. In her new role, Shalini Stewart will support Twilio’s Chief Marketing Officer in shaping future-ready talent strategies and strengthening organizational capabilities to support the company’s global growth ambitions.
Prior to joining Twilio, Shalini Stewart served as Senior Director, HR Business Partner at Avalara, where she partnered with the Chief Revenue Officer to support more than 1,200 global GTM employees across Sales, Marketing, Partner, and Revenue Operations in the US, EMEA, and India. She led a geographically dispersed HRBP team and also supported the Chief Legal Officer and global legal organization, playing a pivotal role in leadership effectiveness, workforce planning, and organizational design.
Earlier, Shalini Stewart was HR Business Partner at Intuit, partnering with the US Chief Sales Officer, Chief Business Officer, and Head of Marketing for the Go-to-Market organization. Her tenure at Gartner as Senior Director, HR Business Partner saw her collaborate with the Head of Global Technology Sales to the Public Sector, where she designed strategic talent initiatives that enhanced performance across regionally dispersed sales teams.
At Hilton, she held roles as Senior Director, HR Consulting – Marketing, Loyalty & Corporate Strategy and Director, HR Consulting – Marketing, supporting the Chief Marketing Officer and senior executives in loyalty, partnerships, and strategy functions. Her earlier career included leadership assignments with WeddingWire, multiple tenures at Intuit, and talent development roles at The Walt Disney Company, where she managed enterprise rotation programs to strengthen early-career pipelines. She began her professional journey in marketing and brand management roles with LeapFrog Enterprises, Walt Disney Records, MGM Home Entertainment, and Mattel, building a strong business foundation that now informs her HR leadership.
