Houston, Texas, United States, January 2026 — CEVA Logistics has appointed Carmen Melendez as Head of Human Resources, North America Ground & Rail, effective January 2026. In this expanded leadership role, Melendez will be responsible for driving the people strategy, strengthening employee engagement, and enhancing organizational effectiveness across CEVA’s Ground and Rail business in North America, ensuring HR priorities remain closely aligned with operational goals while fostering a high-performance, execution-driven culture.
A seasoned HR leader with deep expertise in talent strategy, recruitment leadership, and operational HR, Melendez brings more than a decade of experience within CEVA Logistics, having steadily progressed through strategic people roles across North America.
Before assuming her current position, Carmen Melendez served as Head of Talent Management, North America at CEVA Logistics, where she played a key role in advancing leadership development, talent programs, and workforce capability-building initiatives aligned with the company’s growth agenda.
Earlier, she led HR operations as Human Resources Manager – Freight Management, where she was responsible for HR strategy for approximately 800 employees across Texas, ensuring strong alignment with corporate objectives and operational needs within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Prior to this, Melendez served as Recruiting Manager, North America, leading CEVA’s talent acquisition strategy across the region, with a strong focus on attracting and retaining high-quality talent to support organizational performance and culture.
She built the foundation of her long-term career at CEVA Logistics as Senior Recruiter, North America, supporting recruitment for exempt and executive-level roles across key functions such as warehouse management, contract logistics, freight management, business development, and professional/technical roles—helping enable CEVA’s strategic expansion.
Before joining CEVA, Melendez gained early multi-industry leadership and people management exposure through roles in real estate operations and employee development, including positions at Hills Properties and MetroNational, where she handled recruitment, training, employee engagement initiatives, and workforce development programs.
