Madrid, Spain / Lisbon, Portugal, February 2026 — ClarkeModet, a leading intellectual property and innovation consultancy, has appointed Dina Chaves as Group Chief International Business Officer, marking a strategic step in accelerating the firm’s global growth ambitions. In her new role, Dina will spearhead ClarkeModet’s international business strategy, with a strong focus on expanding the group’s footprint across Asia and North America, while strengthening global client partnerships and innovation-led services.
Dina brings 20+ years of experience spanning intellectual property consulting, technology transfer, innovation ecosystems, and public sector leadership. Her appointment reflects ClarkeModet’s continued commitment to internal talent progression and building a future-ready global leadership team.
Dina Chaves has been appointed as Group Chief International Business Officer at ClarkeModet in January 2026, after building a strong multi-sector career bridging international consulting, public institutions, and academia.
Prior to this appointment, Dina served as Corporate Consulting Director at ClarkeModet (Spain), a role she has held since early 2024, where she contributed to shaping consulting-led growth and innovation advisory solutions for clients.
Before returning to ClarkeModet, she served for nearly two years as Head of Cabinet at Portugal’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, based in Lisbon, where she gained high-impact public sector leadership experience supporting national science, innovation, and higher education agendas.
Dina earlier spent over five years with ClarkeModet (Greater Madrid Metropolitan Area) as Corporate Consulting Director, where she strengthened corporate innovation consulting, client advisory, and technology intelligence capabilities.
She also spent over six years with Clarke, Modet & Co. Portugal as Consultancy and Technology Intelligence Director, building depth in technology intelligence and strategic consulting across the Portuguese innovation and IP landscape.
In the earlier phase of her career, Dina contributed to technology transfer and intellectual property development in academic and national institutions. She worked as a Technology Transfer Advisor at the New University of Lisbon – Science & Technology School, and also held roles at the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property, serving as both Board Advisor and Senior Officer.
She began her professional journey as Intellectual Property Coordinator at Madan Science Park – New University of Lisbon, where she worked for about four years, strengthening her foundation in innovation systems, academia-industry collaboration, and IP enablement.
