Shankar Ganesh Rajan Appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at SPIC

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, February 2026 — Shankar Ganesh Rajan has started a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at SPIC, where he will lead the organization’s human resources strategy and people agenda. With over two decades of experience spanning HR leadership and operational roles across leading manufacturing and industrial organizations, he brings deep expertise in talent management, performance systems, and organizational development.

In his most recent role at Sundaram Clayton Limited, Shankar Ganesh Rajan served in senior HR leadership positions for over a decade. As General Manager – HR, he led the India HR team and drove enterprise-wide people initiatives. Prior to that, as Assistant General Manager – HR, he headed talent management and collaborative education programs for the group, strengthening succession pipelines and performance frameworks.

Earlier, he worked as Senior Manager at Harita Seating Systems Limited, where he headed Business HR for multiple group companies, including Harita Seating and Harita Fehrer, overseeing integrated HR operations. Before this, he served as HR Manager at Harita NTI Limited, leading business HR, safety, and total quality management initiatives that supported operational excellence.

He began his long professional journey at SRF Limited, where he progressed from Engineer – Production to Manager – HR, gaining foundational experience that blends operational understanding with human resources leadership. This cross-functional background has shaped his holistic approach to people management.

Shankar Ganesh Rajan holds an Executive Development Program certification in Human Resources Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a PGDBA in Human Resources Development from the Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, strengthening his strategic HR expertise.
