Atlanta, Georgia, United States, February 2026 — BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) has announced that Anant Garg has stepped into an significantly expanded role as Vice President HR – UCC and BD Interventional Segment, where he will now work across three major global business units — Peripheral Intervention, Surgery, and Urology & Critical Care (UCC) — while continuing to lead HR for the UCC business directly. His expanded mandate supports one of BD’s fastest-growing and innovation-driven global segments.
In his new capacity at BD, Anant Garg builds on more than six years of progressive global HR leadership within the organization. Most recently, he served as Vice President HR, Urology and Critical Care Business Unit, acting as the worldwide HR head for the UCC business. Before that, he was Senior HR Director – Global Supply Chain and Europe Operations, leading HR for global supply chain, procurement, operational excellence, and EMEA manufacturing operations across multiple countries. He earlier served as Director Human Resources, India and South Asia, providing regional HR leadership across BD’s commercial, manufacturing, R&D, and technology footprint.
Prior to joining BD, Garg spent over eight years at Eli Lilly and Company in several senior leadership roles. As Country Director, Human Resources, he led HR for Lilly India. He also held a business leadership role as Director, Corporate Affairs, Pricing, Reimbursement and Access, overseeing corporate affairs, market access, pricing, communications, and CSR. Earlier assignments included Associate Director HR and Six Sigma, Associate Director – Compensation, Asia Operations, and Associate Director – Human Resources, HRBP and Talent CoE, where he drove transformation, talent strategy, and regional compensation leadership.
Earlier in his career, Anant Garg worked at Mercer as Project Leader (Principal Consultant), HR Consulting, and Senior Consultant, leading complex HR advisory assignments across industries. He began his professional journey at Accenture as a Senior Analyst, Human Resources, developing foundational expertise in HR strategy and operations.
Anant Garg holds an MBA in HR/PMIR from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s leading business schools, equipping him with deep expertise in human resources and industrial relations.
