Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area, United States ,February 2026 — Lower Lights Health has appointed Matt Hobbs as Chief People Officer, marking a significant leadership addition as the organization continues to expand its impact across Central Ohio.
In this role, Matt will lead the people and culture strategy for the faith-based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), focusing on talent development, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and strengthening HR systems that support whole-person care across the communities Lower Lights Health serves.
Prior to joining Lower Lights Health, Matt served as Vice President Human Resources at MedFlight, where he led enterprise-wide HR initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. His leadership supported workforce alignment, strategic HR planning, and organizational development to meet evolving operational demands.
Earlier, he was Senior Director, Human Resources at Interim HealthCare RMC, contributing to HR leadership and people strategy in the home healthcare space, ensuring strong compliance, staffing effectiveness, and employee engagement across service lines.
Matt spent nearly 18 years with I Am Boundless, Inc., most recently as Human Resources Director, where he spearheaded all HR functions for an organization with an $80 million operating budget, serving over 2,000 individuals and employing more than 2,000 associates. During his tenure, he partnered with executive leadership to establish KPIs, developed and implemented a comprehensive performance management system, expanded benefits offerings, supported organic growth and M&A expansion, and strengthened compliance and policy frameworks across the organization.
He began his HR career as HR Coordinator at Heinzerling Foundation, building foundational expertise in people operations within nonprofit and community-focused environments.
With over two decades of experience in healthcare and nonprofit HR leadership, Matt brings deep expertise in workforce scaling, benefits strategy, compliance, performance management, and executive partnership—positioning him well to advance Lower Lights Health’s mission-driven people agenda.
