Singapore, March 2026 – Aditya Kumar has started a new position as Director for Strategy & Segments Business Development, East Asia at Schneider Electric, where he will lead the deployment of the company’s Power Systems strategy across the region. In this role, Kumar will also drive business development for key industry segments including Energies & Chemicals (Oil & Gas) and Cloud & Service Providers (C&SP) across East Asia.
Kumar has been associated with Schneider Electric for more than nineteen years, building a distinguished leadership career across multiple strategic and operational roles within the organization. Prior to this appointment, he served as Power Systems Director for the Cloud & Service Providers Segment, East Asia, where he led strategic initiatives to expand Schneider Electric’s solutions in the rapidly growing data center infrastructure sector. His role focused on developing targeted market strategies, strengthening governance frameworks for major projects, and supporting delivery teams across global and regional operations.
Earlier, Kumar held the position of Systems Excellence Director, Power Systems Commercial, APAC, where he played a key role in driving order growth, profitability, and customer value across East Asia, Japan, and Pacific markets. He also served as Regional Transportation Segment Director, leading business development initiatives for transport infrastructure projects across roads, railways, metros, ports, and airports.
Over the years at Schneider Electric, Kumar has held several senior leadership positions including APAC Regional Application Center Director, Transformation Management Director for Global Customer Projects Operations, APAC Regional Customer Project Office Director, Director of Solution Execution Center, General Manager – Solution Excellence, and Head of India Project Execution Center. Through these roles, he has led large-scale transformation programs, built regional project delivery centers, and managed complex engineering and infrastructure initiatives across Asia Pacific markets.
Before joining Schneider Electric, Kumar held leadership roles with Crompton Greaves, where he headed tendering and project management for major electrification projects, and with Alstom Power, where he served as Project Manager for a 280 MW hydro power project. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at ABB, working across engineering, design, and project management roles involving large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
Kumar holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, further complementing his extensive technical and strategic leadership experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
