Atlanta, Georgia, United States, April 2026 – Melissa Peer has joined QXO as Senior Vice President, Human Resources – Corporate & Sales, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it accelerates its ambitious growth journey in the building products distribution industry.
In this role, Melissa will lead the HR strategy across corporate and sales functions, focusing on aligning people strategy with business expansion, strengthening organizational performance, and building a high-impact, accountable culture. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time as QXO continues its transformation into a tech-enabled industry leader with a target of $50 billion in annual revenues over the next decade.
Prior to joining QXO, Melissa Peer spent over seven years with Acuity, where she most recently served as Vice President II Human Resources, supporting a global workforce of over 11,000 employees across lighting, controls, and global supply chain functions. In this role, she led a global HR team and partnered closely with C-suite leaders to drive organizational performance, culture transformation, and strategic alignment.
Earlier at Acuity, she served as Vice President I Human Resources, where she led global HR business partner teams and implemented innovative talent strategies, performance management frameworks, and engagement initiatives across large, distributed workforces.
She also held the position of Human Resources Director at Acuity, where she played a key role in shaping HR strategies for corporate functions and technology-driven business units, particularly in IoT SaaS and building management systems.
Before her tenure at Acuity, Melissa worked with Edward Jones as a Field HR Business Partner, where she supported workforce planning, leadership development, and engagement initiatives across regional markets.
Her earlier career includes progressive HR leadership roles at Acuity Brands and experience with Randstad, building a strong foundation in HR operations, talent management, and organizational development.
With a career spanning multiple industries, Melissa brings deep expertise in strategic HR leadership, global workforce management, M&A integration, leadership development, and culture transformation.
