Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 – HDFC Life has announced the re-appointment of Vibha Padalkar as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer for a further period of five years, effective September 12, 2026, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals. The decision was approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on April 21, 2026.
This reappointment reinforces continuity in leadership at a time when the company continues to demonstrate consistent performance, strong governance, and sustainable growth under Padalkar’s stewardship. Her leadership has been instrumental in navigating multiple business cycles while strengthening the organization’s financial and operational resilience.
Vibha Padalkar has been serving as MD & CEO of HDFC Life for nearly eight years, where she has driven strategic growth, operational discipline, and long-term value creation. Under her leadership, the company successfully executed key milestones, including its landmark listing in 2017 and one of the first merger and acquisition transactions in the Indian life insurance sector.
Prior to becoming CEO, she spent over a decade with HDFC Life as Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s financial architecture and governance frameworks.
Earlier in her career, she served as Executive Vice President – Finance at WNS Global Services, where she led global finance operations, including SEC reporting, international taxation, treasury, and SOX compliance. She was also instrumental in the company’s successful US IPO, global expansion initiatives, and multiple acquisitions.
She began her professional journey with Colgate-Palmolive, where she worked in corporate finance and reporting across India and international markets, building a strong foundation in financial management and strategic planning.
