Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — CRISIL has appointed Abhishek Tomar to its Board of Directors, further strengthening the company’s governance and strategic leadership as it continues to advance its position as a global, insights-driven analytics and financial intelligence company.
Abhishek joins the CRISIL Board while continuing in his current role as Head of Data at S&P Global, bringing extensive experience in data strategy, analytics, digital transformation, operations, and financial intelligence. His appointment reflects the close strategic relationship between CRISIL and its majority shareholder, S&P Global, as both organizations continue to drive innovation at the intersection of data, AI, and analytics.
Currently serving as Head of Data at S&P Global, Abhishek leads enterprise-wide data strategy and transformation initiatives, supporting the organization’s continued innovation in data, artificial intelligence, and analytics.
Previously, he served as Chief Data Officer at S&P Global, where he was responsible for strengthening enterprise data capabilities, governance, digital transformation, and business intelligence across the global organization.
Earlier, Abhishek served as Managing Director – India Operations, overseeing strategic operations and business leadership across India. During his tenure, he also held the position of Managing Director – Operations, contributing to operational excellence, organizational growth, and strategic execution.
Before S&P Global, he spent over six years at SNL Financial, progressing through leadership roles including Director – Operations and Senior Director – Operations, where he led large-scale operations, business process optimization, and delivery excellence.
He began his corporate leadership journey at Capital IQ, where he spent more than seven years, rising to the position of Research Manager, developing deep expertise in financial research, analytics, operations, and market intelligence.
Abhishek holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) in Marketing & IT from NIILM – Centre for Management Studies, providing a strong foundation that has supported his leadership across technology, analytics, and business transformation.
With over two decades of experience, Abhishek Tomar has built deep expertise across data strategy, artificial intelligence, financial intelligence, analytics, operations, digital transformation, business leadership, and enterprise technology. His induction to the CRISIL Board is expected to further strengthen the company’s strategic direction as it continues supporting organizations with trusted insights and analytics.
