Mumbai, India – Prasad Kakkat has been appointed as the new Head of Corporate HR and Talent Staffing at Aditya Birla Capital. This pivotal role marks a significant milestone in his extensive career spanning over a decade within the Aditya Birla Group, emphasizing his deep-rooted expertise in human resources management across various sectors.

Before stepping into his current role, Kakkat served as the Head of Sales HR at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, where he was instrumental from July 2020 to April 2024. During this period, he led the HR operations for the sales organization, enhancing sales compensation frameworks, HR analytics, and strategic HR planning. His leadership was crucial in evolving HR processes that aligned closely with business goals, particularly in emerging channels and strategic HR projects.

From November 2017 until July 2020, Kakkat was involved in corporate HR for sales, where his strategic oversight supported the company’s expansive sales networks across India. His earlier roles at the company include serving as Zonal Manager for Human Resources, where he managed HR operations for the South and East zones of India, underscoring his proficiency in regional HR leadership.

Kakkat’s professional journey before joining Aditya Birla Group included significant roles at major corporations like Samsung India Electronics and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, where he managed comprehensive HR functions, enhancing employee relations and recruitment strategies across various states in South India.
