In his expanded role, Abhishek will lead the strategic marketing function across the region, driving digital-first brand growth, innovation, and customer engagement.
Abhishek joined HMD Global in 2022 as Head of Brand Marketing, where he played a crucial role in shaping the company’s brand positioning and consumer engagement strategy within the competitive smartphone landscape. His leadership in integrating digital innovation and data-driven storytelling has significantly strengthened HMD’s presence in key markets.
Prior to HMD Global, Abhishek was associated with TECNO Mobile India as AGM – Marketing, where he led impactful brand and communication campaigns that propelled TECNO’s visibility and consumer appeal across India. His earlier roles at Philips Mobiles India and Micromax Informatics Ltd saw him helm successful product launches, creative campaigns, and brand partnerships that helped drive both sales and market share.
Abhishek has also served in key marketing roles at Celkon Impex Pvt Ltd, Logitech, and Samsung India Electronics, where he honed his skills in product branding, marketing strategy, and integrated communication. Across his 17-year career, he has consistently demonstrated a passion for brand storytelling and customer experience, driving innovation and growth across global technology brands.
At HMD Global, Abhishek will continue to build on the company’s human-centric marketing approach, leveraging digital ecosystems and brand partnerships to further accelerate growth in India and the wider APAC region.
