In this leadership role, Asma AlZekri will oversee Mazad’s people strategy and human capital agenda while also driving the organization’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Her appointment strengthens Mazad’s focus on building high-performing teams, ensuring strong HR governance, and embedding sustainability, transparency, and community impact within its growth journey.

Prior to being elevated to the role of Head of HR & CSR, Asma AlZekri spent over two years at Mazad as Human Resources Manager, playing a key role in HR operations and people management aligned with the organization’s expanding auction operations in Bahrain.

Before joining Mazad, she served for nearly three and a half years as Human Resources Manager at American School of Bahrain, where she supported HR programs and employee lifecycle management in the education sector.

Earlier, Asma spent close to five years with New Generation Private School as Human Resources Manager, developing deep HR leadership experience in workforce management and people operations. She also worked with Rayyan Alkhair Group as a Community Relations Specialist for about a year, strengthening her exposure to stakeholder engagement and community-focused initiatives.

At the start of her career, she spent around three years with Rotana in a Media role—an experience that contributed to her communication strengths and stakeholder alignment capabilities.

Asma AlZekri holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a major in Human Resource Management, from Rays University.
