Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2026 — Karamtara Engineering has appointed Anand Kulkarni as President. In this leadership role, he will oversee all manufacturing plants, lead the company’s Transmission and Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) businesses, and provide strategic direction to the Supply Chain function. His appointment reinforces Karamtara’s focus on operational excellence, engineering innovation, and sustainable growth as it continues to expand its presence in the renewable energy and transmission infrastructure sectors.
With more than three decades of experience across manufacturing, operations, supply chain, sourcing, and business leadership, Anand Kulkarni brings a proven track record of driving operational transformation, building high-performing teams, improving manufacturing efficiencies, and delivering long-term business growth across globally recognized engineering and industrial organizations.
Prior to joining Karamtara Engineering, Anand Kulkarni spent nearly 13 years with KEC International Ltd., where he most recently served as Executive Director – Business Operations. During his tenure, he led large-scale business operations and manufacturing initiatives, playing a key role in strengthening operational excellence, business performance, and execution across the company’s engineering and infrastructure businesses.
Earlier, he briefly served as Senior Director – Supply Chain Management (South Asia & Sub-Sahara Africa) at SunEdison, overseeing regional supply chain operations for the renewable energy business.
Before that, Anand was Vice President & Head – Country Supply Chain Management at ABB India, where he led supply chain and sourcing operations across all business divisions, driving localization, procurement excellence, and operational efficiencies.
He also spent nearly six years with Ingersoll Rand as Vice President – Supply Chain India, leading global sourcing initiatives, manufacturing footprint optimization, localization programs, and supply chain transformation to improve productivity and competitiveness.
Earlier in his career, Anand held several leadership positions at Philips and Philips Lighting, including Director – Supply Chain & IT, General Manager & Unit Head, and General Manager & Black Belt Purchasing, where he successfully established new manufacturing facilities, led large-scale operations, optimized procurement strategies, and transformed business performance across multiple manufacturing locations.
His earlier professional journey includes senior leadership roles at Autoliv, Bhoruka Steel Ltd, and Rallis India Ltd., where he gained extensive expertise in business planning, engineering, procurement, vendor development, manufacturing, and strategic sourcing. He began his career as a Development Engineer with Guest Keen Williams Ltd., building a strong technical foundation in product development and manufacturing engineering.
