In her expanded leadership position, she will help shape Salesforce’s corporate communications strategy, executive messaging, media engagement, and brand reputation, supporting the company’s continued leadership in AI-powered customer relationship management (CRM).
With over a decade of experience in corporate communications, public relations, media strategy, and technology communications, Caylah Bassing has built a successful career supporting leading global technology brands. Her promotion reflects Salesforce’s confidence in her ability to strengthen corporate storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications during a period of continued innovation and growth.
During her nearly four-year journey with Salesforce, Caylah Bassing has progressed through a series of communications leadership roles. Prior to her promotion, she served as Senior Communications Manager – Customer PR, where she led strategic public relations initiatives focused on customer success stories, executive communications, media engagement, and brand visibility. Earlier, she served as Communications Manager – Customer PR, supporting corporate communications and customer-focused storytelling that reinforced Salesforce’s market leadership.
Before joining Salesforce, Caylah spent more than three years with Visa, progressing from Communications Manager to Senior Communications Manager. In these roles, she helped drive corporate communications, media relations, strategic messaging, and public affairs initiatives for one of the world’s leading digital payments companies.
Earlier, she spent over four years with Nectar Communications, advancing through the roles of Account Coordinator, Assistant Account Executive, Account Executive, and Senior Account Executive. During her tenure, she managed communications programs for leading technology clients including Google Cloud, Salesforce, Autodesk, Apigee, Elementum, LinkedIn Engineering, Brocade, and Heroku, gaining extensive experience in technology public relations, client advisory, media strategy, and corporate storytelling.
She began her communications career as a Public Relations Intern at Check Point Software Technologies, where she developed a strong foundation in media relations, communications planning, and technology-focused public relations.
