Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, March 2025 — Abishek Murthy has been appointed as Senior Vice President – Strategy at Keka HR, India’s leading HR tech platform, marking a strategic move to accelerate growth, market expansion, and innovation in the HRMS space. With over 15 years of experience in scaling startups and global SaaS companies, Murthy will lead strategic planning and execution to solidify Keka’s market leadership.
Prior to joining Keka, Abishek served as Chief Growth Officer at Locus, where he spearheaded GTM strategies and revenue operations. He also held leadership roles at Freshworks, including Chief of Staff to the CRO and Director of Product Marketing, playing an instrumental role in the global success of Freshchat and demand generation efforts. At Lummo, formerly BukuKas, he led business operations and customer experience, raising $150M and launching new products across Asia.
Abishek’s journey also includes impactful stints at Sundaram Business Services, where he served as Global Head of Marketing, and with Government of South Australia as Business Manager – Investments & Trade. His early career saw roles at Dun & Bradstreet and Frost & Sullivan, equipping him with deep insights into business development, investment strategy, and emerging markets.
In addition to his full-time roles, he continues to serve as Venture Scout for Peak XV Partners, and holds advisory and investor positions at Outplay, Dive, Airmeet, and True Search, reflecting his commitment to the startup ecosystem.
