NEW DELHI, Delhi, India, August 2025 – Aditya Raj has joined NDTV as Senior Executive Editor – Geopolitics, National Security & Strategic Affairs, bringing with him a formidable track record in international affairs, defence, diplomacy, and strategic journalism. In his new role, Aditya will lead NDTV’s editorial efforts on national security, geopolitical developments, and strategic policymaking, further strengthening the network’s analytical depth and global perspective.
Prior to joining NDTV, Aditya served at Associated Broadcasting Co. Pvt Ltd (TV9) for over three years, where he held the position of Senior Executive Editor. In his final months there, he closely monitored key government ministries such as the PMO, MEA, MoD, and MHA, and played a pivotal role in curating the NEWS9 Global Summits both in India and abroad. Before that, he was Executive Editor, overseeing editorial coverage in national security, conflict, and diplomacy, and was instrumental in launching India’s first OTT platform for long-form news documentaries.
Before his stint at TV9, Aditya contributed significantly to national discourse through roles such as Contributing Editor at CNN-News18, Anchor at Glance, and as a Foreign Correspondent for CBC, where he reported on the devastating second wave of COVID-19 in India. His sharp analytical skills and storytelling prowess have helped shape public understanding of complex geopolitical issues.
Aditya’s earlier career includes freelance contributions to The Quint, The Print, Navbharat Times, and others, focusing on foreign affairs and security. He also held editorial leadership positions at BTVI, Republic World, and Times Network, covering breaking developments from over 15 countries and anchoring prime-time news shows. Notably, at Planman Media, he interviewed both Prime Minister Narendra Modi (then Chief Minister of Gujarat) and globally designated terrorist Syed Salahuddin, showcasing his ability to engage with high-stakes subjects and figures.
With nearly two decades of diverse editorial experience, Aditya is poised to deepen NDTV’s leadership in strategic and geopolitical reporting at a time when global affairs are increasingly shaping national discourse.
