London, United Kingdom, March 2025 – Adwait Kashalkar has been appointed as Director, Strategic Workforce Planning and Acquisition Lead at Astellas Pharma. In this role, he will focus on enhancing workforce planning capabilities, optimizing talent strategies, and driving impactful HR initiatives to strengthen the organization’s global workforce framework.
Kashalkar brings nearly six years of experience from Mastercard, where he most recently served as People Analytics and Programme Management Lead, AP Region & Lead, Global Workforce Data Operations. In this role, he led key HR and business projects across Asia Pacific, driving workforce insights, M&A coordination, talent strategy, and performance calibration. He played a pivotal role in developing workforce forecasts, optimizing HR processes, and providing consulting to senior stakeholders on complex workforce initiatives.
Prior to Mastercard, Kashalkar was with PwC Singapore as Saratoga APAC CoE Lead, leading human capital measurement and benchmarking projects across Southeast Asia. He specialized in M&A advisory, HR transformation, and workforce productivity, helping organizations enhance their HR frameworks and strategic planning. Before that, he spent several years with PwC in Malaysia and India, working as Associate Director and Principal Consultant in People & Change, delivering HR strategy, organization design, and workforce analytics solutions.
Kashalkar holds an MBA in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur, bringing a strong academic foundation to his extensive industry expertise in HR analytics, strategic workforce planning, and organizational transformation.
