Pune, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — Ajay Subramaniam has been promoted to Vice President – HR, Strategy and Consulting at Accenture in India, marking a major milestone in his HR and people leadership journey. Based in Pune, he steps into this expanded role after several years of contributing to the Strategy & Consulting business within the firm.
In his new position as Vice President – HR, Strategy and Consulting Accenture, Ajay continues to be based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, where he partners closely with business leadership to support the people agenda for the Strategy & Consulting organisation in India.
Before this promotion, Ajay Subramaniam served as AVP – HR, Strategy and Consulting Accenture at Accenture in India for a little over four years in Pune, Maharashtra, India. In this capacity, he played a key HR role for the Strategy & Consulting business, strengthening his partnership with senior stakeholders and building a strong base for his elevation to Vice President.
Earlier, Ajay spent more than seven years with Zensar Technologies in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area, where he held roles as Senior Manager – HR (RMG) and Manager – RMG. Across these positions, he was part of the Resource Management Group, supporting the company’s people deployment and resourcing needs in a technology and services environment.
In a prior stint at Deloitte Consulting in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Ajay Subramaniam worked as Assistant Manager – Talent Delivery for nearly three years. This role strengthened his experience in talent delivery and consulting-oriented HR support within a global professional services firm.
Ajay also worked earlier with Zensar Technologies as Associate Manager – RMG Global Oracle Practice in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area, focusing on resource management for the Global Oracle Practice. He began his career journey with roles in recruitment and talent acquisition, including Recruiter – Talent Acquisition at Symphony Services and Executive at Emmay HR (A Randstad Company), gaining early experience in sourcing, hiring and candidate management.
Ajay Subramaniam holds an MBA in Human Resource from Neville Wadia Institute of Management Studies and Research, providing him with a strong academic foundation in HR to complement his extensive industry experience.
