Lima, Peru, August 2024 – Akiko Kosaka Dulanto has been appointed as the new Head of Human Resources and Learning & Development for Perú, Bolivia, and Ecuador at Starbucks. With nearly 17 years of experience at Starbucks, Akiko brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to the company’s mission of serving people through coffee.
Prior to her new role, Akiko served as Jefa de RRHH & Learning at Starbucks for over a year, where she played a crucial role in shaping the HR and learning strategies for the company in Peru. Her leadership was instrumental in driving initiatives that enhanced employee engagement and development.
Before this, Akiko was the Coordinadora de Learning and Development, a role she held for nearly two and a half years. During this time, she was responsible for overseeing the learning and development programs, ensuring that Starbucks partners had the training and resources they needed to succeed.
Earlier in her career, Akiko served as an Analista de RRHH – Business Partner for over five years. In this capacity, she partnered with various teams to support their HR needs, helping to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Akiko’s journey at Starbucks began as a Barista in 2007, and over the years, she progressed through various roles including Shift Supervisor and Gerente de Tienda. Her hands-on experience in these positions has given her a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations and culture.
