Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 — Akshita Gaur has been promoted to Vice President | Consumer & Corporate HRBP Head at TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited, marking a significant milestone in her HR leadership journey with the organization. In her expanded role, she leads HR strategy and business partnering for Corporate Functions covering more than 1,600 employees and the Consumer Business workforce comprising over 6,000 employees, while partnering with CXO and business leadership teams on organization design, workforce planning, productivity, capability building, and talent strategy.
Akshita has been associated with TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited for over six years and has held several progressive HR leadership roles. Prior to this elevation, she served as Corporate HR Lead, where she was responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle management, talent acquisition, and business partnering for more than 1,500 employees. Earlier, she served as Head – Performance & Rewards and Corporate Talent Acquisition, leading leadership hiring, corporate talent acquisition, candidate experience, and hiring quality initiatives, including the conceptualization of a quantitative Talent Index metric to assess hiring quality and drive continuous improvement.
Earlier at TATA AIG, Akshita led Performance & Rewards, where she managed end-to-end performance management and rewards for more than 8,000 employees. She spearheaded initiatives including Performance Conversation Weeks, KPI publishing, real-time performance diaries, annual appraisal cycles, promotion processes, SuccessFactors PMS digitization, compensation benchmarking, long-term incentive plans, and the TagiSmiles Rewards program to enhance employee recognition and engagement. Before joining TATA AIG, she worked with EY as part of its People Advisory Services practice, contributing to HR consulting engagements across organization design, compensation and benefits, HR diagnostics, leadership development, performance management, assessment centers, and HR process design across multiple industries.
Akshita holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from XLRI Jamshedpur, where she was actively involved with CII Yi XLRI, TEDxXLRI, Sapphire, and Team Services. With strong expertise across HR business partnering, performance and rewards, talent acquisition, organization design, leadership development, and employee experience, Akshita is well-positioned to support TATA AIG’s continued focus on people-first growth, workplace excellence, and future-ready HR transformation.
