London, United Kingdom, September 2025 – Capgemini has announced the appointment of Alan Grogan as Managing Director of its Insights & Data business in Europe, marking a strategic move to accelerate growth and leadership in the Data and AI markets across the continent. In his new role, Alan will focus on expanding Capgemini’s capabilities and client impact across the rapidly evolving landscape of data, analytics, and AI technologies.
Prior to joining Capgemini, Alan Grogan served as Global Lead for Microsoft Data Business at Accenture, overseeing a global P&L with more than 35,000 employees and generating over $3 billion in annual revenue. Under his leadership, Accenture became Microsoft’s largest global partner for Azure Data services, registering consistent 30% YoY growth during his tenure.
Before that, he held key leadership roles at Avanade, including Global Lead for Azure Databricks, and Europe Lead for Data Platform Modernisation, where he helped scale strategic cloud partnerships and drove significant client transformations across modern data architectures.
Earlier in his career, Alan was Executive Partner and Service Line Lead – Data, Analytics & IoT at IBM, leading one of the company’s most critical portfolios for the UK & Ireland. He also served as Practice Leader for AI & BI at Atos, where he built and led one of the highest performing analytics practices in the company’s global network.
His deep experience in financial services includes roles at NatWest Group, where he served as Chief Analytics Officer, and at Barclays, where he held several senior analytics and strategic planning roles across retail and commercial banking divisions.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Alan has served as an International Advisory Board Member at Kent Business School, contributing to academic and industry collaboration.
