London, United Kingdom, November 2025 — Alex Mangan has begun a new role as Chief Marketing Officer at OneOcean, where he will lead global brand, marketing, and communications strategy for one of the maritime technology sector’s most influential digital platforms. In this executive role, he will shape how OneOcean connects customers to its value ecosystem, accelerate global market presence, strengthen commercial demand, and advance strategic engagement across the maritime industry.
Before stepping into his new role, Alex served as Head of Marketing & Communications at Ocean Technologies Group, leading brand strategy, product marketing, commercial alignment, and integrated communications to elevate market awareness and unify the organization’s global narrative across the maritime sector.
Prior to this, Alex worked at Step Up For Students as Chief Product Officer, where he provided enterprise leadership across product management, program operations, and digital strategy. During this time, he helped establish customer-centric product practices, build a large-scale education services marketplace, and oversee a technology ecosystem responsible for significant scholarship disbursements, RPA integration, predictive intelligence, and generative AI deployment.
Earlier in his career, Alex held key roles at Utopia Music as Director of Product Management, where he drove SaaS platform strategy, go-to-market execution, product integration, and customer acquisition initiatives. Prior to this, he spent over a decade at HERE Technologies in multiple leadership positions including Director of Product Management, Director of Product and Portfolio Marketing, Head of Product Marketing Automotive, Product Marketing Manager, and Senior Marketing Specialist, leading global product commercialization, analytics-led insights, technology launches, and market-shaping initiatives across mapping, data intelligence, connected mobility, and autonomous systems.
His experience also spans product strategy, demand generation, SaaS development, financial technology platforms, customer lifecycle programs, and data-driven innovation across international markets.
