Toronto, Canada, October 2024 – Aliya Dattu has taken on the role of Head of People and Culture – Human Resources at Gertex Solutions. In this role, Aliya will set and lead the organization’s people strategy, aligning practices, processes, and policies with organizational goals, while ensuring an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining Gertex Solutions, Aliya was the Human Resource Manager at Nuevo for nearly a year, where she led key initiatives in payroll management, talent acquisition, and employee relations. Her efforts significantly reduced turnover and enhanced engagement within the organization.
Before this, Aliya served as a Human Resource Generalist at Nuevo for over two years, during which she managed compliance with health and safety programs and supported operational initiatives that improved business performance. She was also instrumental in streamlining onboarding processes and enhancing payroll management.
Aliya also gained valuable experience as an Operational Specialist/Human Resources at Nuevo, where she managed operational tasks and tradeshow planning for over two years. Her contributions ensured efficient department coordination and operational compliance.
Earlier in her career, Aliya worked as a Human Resources/Office Administrator at TELSTORM Corp., where she coordinated candidate interviews, managed job postings, and handled payroll processing. She also contributed to the administration of accounts payable, playing a critical role in supporting the company’s operations.
