Brighton, England, United Kingdom, September 2025 — Amanda Wheeler has been appointed as Head of People Partnering at BIMM University, where she will lead people-focused strategies to support the institution’s mission of nurturing creativity and preparing students for careers in the modern creative industries.
Amanda has been part of BIMM University since early 2024, serving as a People Partner. In this role, she worked closely with leadership to build strong people partnerships, foster engagement, and enhance the employee experience across the university’s creative campuses.
Prior to BIMM, she was Interim People Partner at Higgidy, where she supported HR initiatives and workforce planning. She also made a significant impact at Fargro Limited as Human Resources Manager, where she developed the HR function from the ground up. Amanda introduced compliant HR policies, implemented a self-service HR portal, managed pensions and payroll, led recruitment and onboarding, oversaw health and safety, and ensured GDPR compliance.
Her earlier career includes over 17 years at EDF Energy, where she progressed from SME Sales Account Manager to Customer Service Manager. During her tenure, she managed large teams, drove customer service performance, handled compliance and regulation, and gained extensive HR experience in recruitment, wellbeing, and employee relations.
